The Vice President of Business Development is assigned the responsibility of
researching potential growth opportunities for Broad River Rehab, developing marketing
strategies and plans of action to pursue new business. Additionally, the responsibilities
include providing direction for sales and marketing staff, overseeing projects, reporting
to executive staff on the progress of plans and implementation of new contracts.
This
position will work closely with the Chief Strategist and other staff as needed to ensure
efforts are in correlation with overall business goals.
Objectives will be achieved within
the value system of Broad River Rehabilitation.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
Establishment of new contracts as a result of efforts.
Increase in gross revenue
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct research to identify potential opportunities for growth and expansion.
Develop marketing strategies specific to the region, group, and/or identified
needs of customers.
Provide direction and project timelines to sales and marketing staff. Monitor
progress of assignments, assist with resolution of obstacles, and adjust plans
of action as needed.
Provide reports of research findings, recommendations for new opportunities,
and reports of progress on active/ongoing sales initiatives to the CEO, COO
and the Chief Strategist.
Participate in sales meetings with potential new clients as needed,
demonstrating features, benefits, advantages and value of Broad River
Rehab.
Keep current on healthcare trends, laws/regulations and other internal and
external marketing factors.
Represent Broad River Rehabilitation in a professional and appropriate
manner and demonstrate “Knowledge and Compassion”, our core values, at
all times.

CREDENTIALS:
Minimum of a Baccalaureate degree in healthcare, business, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience in development and implementation of
sales/marketing strategies, preferably in the healthcare field.
Demonstrated success in sales and/or marketing roles within a business unit
with annual sales of at least $5 million.
Exhibition of a high level of professional principals consistent with the mission
and values of this corporation
Ability to prioritize, implement and follow plans of action to meet established
timelines
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
