Sr Technical Laboratory Analyst

COMPANY OVERVIEW:  Our client is a growing solutions provider to the refining industry, offering performance improvement to hydro processing plants

POSITION: Sr Technical Laboratory Analyst

COMPENSATION:  Competitive salary + DOE

LOCATION:   Houston, Texas

SUMMARY:   Provides analytical and interpretive lab support for process fouling, product development and quality assurance.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and regularly work with lab procedures, equipment and maintenance
• Oversee and execute sample receiving, evaluation, and storage
• Research, evaluate, and commission new instruments to enhance lab capabilities.
• Manage chain of custody and communicate with third party laboratories
• Maintain lab supplies and proper house keeping
• Author and publish analytical methods, providing training and guidance to the team
• Work with technical team to develop new tests for improved QC
• Execute and communicate on quality control methods and results.
• Cultivate safety and operate with responsible environmental care.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 years of lab experience
• BS Engineering or Natural Sciences preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in the use of personal computers and MS Windows and MS Office applications.
• Prior laboratory experience should be highlighted
• Additional desired skills include strong analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting, and programming
