Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing general accounting operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring the integrity of accounting information, developing and implementing best practices, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes in compliance with GAAP
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Assist in the execution of internal and external audits
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and support tax filings
  • Manage and reconcile fixed asset schedules
  • Maintain internal controls and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Manage the P-Cards and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Collaborate with the controller on special projects and all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, public accounting or health care experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Proficiency with accounting software, prior experience with NetSuite preferred
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
