Sales Manager – Industrial Services

DUTIES OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages daily sales activities for the company.
- Establishes a professional sales presence for each branch office and acts as the sales resource for teams within those locations.
- Makes joint calls with sales team members. Advises sales team members on sales and advertising techniques. Participates in the staffing and training of sales team members. Reviews performance of sales representatives to guide the sales programs for the region.
- Analyzes sales statistics and data to formulate policy and promote sales. Reviews sales teams’ year to date revenue generation performance compared with prior periods. Reviews sales teams target account performance.
- Coordinates sales activities by monitoring sales quotas and goals, and reviews weekly sales reports. Compares the bid activity of individual sales team members with region averages and targets.
- Interfaces with executive management to review sales activities.
- Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, market potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and develops sales campaigns to accommodate sales goals.
- Prepares and analyzes marketing data, including strategic plans to target sales opportunities in the region.
- Represents company at trade association meetings to promote services.
- Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units.
- Analyzes and controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements. Recommends or approves budget and expenditures.
- The position requires travel throughout the region with some overnight travel approximately 50% of the time.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of sales and industry experience is required including at least 5 years previous sales management experience and experience managing large accounts
- Comprehensive knowledge of oil and gas mechanical services business. Experience in this segment of the industry is a must!
- A strong book of industry contacts and a track record of excellence
- Strong contracts, negotiations, and presentation skills
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred
