REHABILITATION RECEPTIONIST
Full Time Hourly Position / 30-40 hours per week

JOB SUMMARY:
The Rehabilitation Receptionist will assist in scheduling outpatient therapy, general administrative duties, organization of systems, insurance authorizations, and supporting the therapy department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Under the direction of the licensed therapists, optimize abilities and skills of patients in facilities:
– Prepare equipment and supplies for treatments.
– Maintain awareness of change in patient population, programs, and patient conditions and inform licensed personnel.
* Under the direction of the licensed therapists, build a strong rehabilitative care practice within each facility:
– Establish and maintain strong relationships with professional staff and good public relations with patients and families.
– Maintain confidentiality of company, patient and client information. Adhere to the appropriate dress code for assigned facility and work environment.
– Adhere to the requirements of the patient’s Bill of Rights.
* Administrative Skills:
– Ensure that adequate office supplies and supplies for treatments are maintained.
– Complete appropriate forms and records, as directed, make copies, and obtain necessary signatures.
– Ensure that written and oral communications are directed to appropriate personnel.
– Follow established protected health information (HIPPA) policies to prevent privacy or security breaches. If breach identified, report to Broad River Rehab Management.
– Answer and direct phone calls, organize and schedule meetings and appointments, maintain contact lists, carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning
– Provide general support to visitors, handle multiple projects Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories
– Cover the reception desk, general office tidying up and maintenance.
– Develop and update administrative systems to make them more efficient.
– Other job duties as required.
COMPETENCIES/REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong communication, interpersonal ability. Ability to maximize contribution as a team.
* Bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, transferring, lifting 40 or more pounds, and assisting adults/children weighing 200 pounds or more with possible use of mechanical devices where applicable.
* Must be able to proficiently type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
CREDENTIALS:
* Minimum High School education or equivalent.
* Minimum one-year healthcare experience.
* Current physical exam and/or free from communicable disease as required by state law.
