Orientation Intake Specialist at Goodwill

Full-time Compensation: $18/hr
Essential Functions
- Conduct initial intake
- Review and annotate daily referral data from NYCWAY to verify clients were referred and process photo IDs and directs clients to orientation area
- Make copies of clients’ documents and ensure that clients completes and sign required forms
- Enters clients’ demographic information in GW Tracking and generates initial calendars with testing, intake, orientation and initial case management appointments
- Completes Employability Plans
- Distributes signed Employability Plans to Billing Unit
- Posts FTC infractions and FTR infractions for direct referrals
- Responsible for submitting/reporting accurate participant attendance information
- Responsible for participant data integrity
- Other related duties as needed
Qualifications
- HS Diploma/ GED minimum education required.
- Two years experience in human service programs and demonstrated experience in working with a diverse client population.
- Quickly acquire knowledge of HRA policies and procedures and apply where necessary.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to motivate and engage clients. Must be detail-minded, thorough and well organized.
- Current computer office program knowledge is essential and experience in database use necessary.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
- Bi-lingual a plus.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of customer records and documents.
- Must be flexible and able to travel between service sites using public transportation.
- May be required to work overtime and work flexible hours.
