SUMMARY: The Business Development Manager will lead a team of 3-5 business development professionals, driving growth across solid material handling, energy-to-power, and power generation markets. This individual will build a disciplined, results-oriented sales culture focused on expanding market share, developing new partnerships, and aligning strategic business initiatives with corporate profitability goals.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3-5 sales and business development professionals
  • Drive strategic growth initiatives across solid material handling, bulk material transport, energy-to-power conversion and power infrastructure sectors
  • Identify and pursue opportunities within industrial plants, utilities, renewable energy projects and OEMs supporting the energy transition
  • Establish structure and accountability within the business development function, including policies for deal structure, pricing and compensation alignment
  • Develop and track KPIs for pipeline health, client engagement, forecasting accuracy and revenue growth
  • Partner with executive leadership to design and execute growth strategies that support long-term profitability and market positioning
  • Representing the company at client meetings, trade shows and energy/material handling industry events


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of business development or sales leadership experience in industrial services, solid material handling, power generation or energy transition markets
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive strategic growth in technically driven environments
  • Strong network of industry relationships within utilities, EPCs, OEMs, and industrial processing sectors
  • Experience structuring profitable deals and incentive plans that align with company objectives
  • Expertise in pipeline management, forecasting, and building client partnerships in the power and industrial sectors
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Value-driven leader who thrives in a collaborative, performance-focused culture
