POSITION TITLE:  Engineer - Technical Sales

COMPENSATION: Competitive Salary DOE

LOCATION: Houston, TX (Latin America territory)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:  An innovative leader in providing composite solutions utilized in repairing and reinforcing critical piping and related infrastructure with cost effective, easy to install products. This client services industries from downstream, refineries, petrochemical plants, midstream gathering, processing & transportation assets, upstream field operations, power generating facilities (natural gas, coal, nuclear), mines and related process facilities, pulp and paper mills, offshore/marine operators and a variety of other facilities where pipes and vessels carry or process a wide variety of fluids and gases under pressure or other environmental conditions that are the causes of corrosion (internal and external), wall loss and ultimately, leaks. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • FLUENT IN SPANISH! BILINGUAL A MUST! ENGINEER A MUST!
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Demonstrate ability to establish the company as a preferred vendor within the client network.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrable history of meeting or exceeding revenues objectives for a territory.
  • Consistently maintain a sustainable sales funnel.
  • Well-balanced interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Accountable to and take direction from Managers, keep required work schedules which              include regular and predictable job attendance and focused attention to pertinent details.
  • Mature organizational skills and the ability to readily prioritize goals, objectives and tasks.
  • Problem solver with the ability to find solutions and seek sound business decisions.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working with minimal supervision and/or direction.
  • Previous experience with CRM systems.
  • Flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment. Consistently maintain a professional and respectful demeanor/attitude with co-workers, clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies. Maximize market penetration in assigned segments by developing strategic account plans with company products.
  • The successful candidate will have a minimum five (5) years of experience in outside sales broadly in the Energy or Petrochem/Refining Industries and familiar with the Composite Industry.



Required Skills:  

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Lead accounts within assigned territories.
  • Develop customer relationships within assigned customers/territory, gaining an understanding of customers business requirements, and proactively developing solutions and programs to meet those needs.
  • Leverage company''s defined sales process to build accounts and utilize the company''s CRM system for maintenance and development of prospects, customers, opportunities, quotes, and sales activities. Meet/exceed annual sales quota for assigned customers and territory.
  • Become a leader in upstream, midstream, downstream, and integrity issues and maintenance processes in all areas of company''s products.
  • Willingness to spend 80% of time outside of the office and with customers and developing new business.
  • Experience:
  • Experienced engineer for sales with deep contacts in Process Industries, Oil & Gas (upstream, midstream and downstream), Power Generation or Water & Wastewater industry
  • Demonstrable, in-depth knowledge of and experience with composites and corrosion prevention products.
  • Target industries to call on - Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, Mining and Marine industries and maintain profitable relationships with top level clients.
  • Competitive salary + commission + bonus + benefits
  • NACE International "Corrosion Technician" certification desirable
  • Knowledge of pipeline operations, refineries, plants, mills, etc.
  • Knowledge of composites and leak repairs.
  • Engineering Degree Required.
