ABOUT THE JOB
The Kaplan House (Manhattan) is an urban residential facility that provides an extensive independent living skills program and therapeutic and support services to 25 older adolescent males, ages of 17-21 years old. These youth have been referred to us through ACS and the Juvenile Justice system, and have experienced significant trauma, resulting in behavioral, emotional, and functional/developmental issues.
The Social Worker is responsible for supplying necessary clinical intervention within the realm of the program. Provide cultural competent and sensitive services. As part of a therapeutic team within the Agency, work closely with the divisions'' medical, psychiatric and psychology staff, to ensure the appropriate treatment interventions for the client.
