Job Description:  

COMPANY OVERVIEW: Leading provider for maintenance services in the chemical and petrochemical industries, energy and utilities, and oil and gas industries.

POSITION TITLE: Business Development Director

COMPENSATION: Competitive Salary DOE + bonus

LOCATION: Houston, TX

SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining relationships with existing clients and developing new client contacts. Responsible for providing sales leadership and driving strategy by developing and implementing strategic initiatives to ensure desired goals and targets are met and/or exceeded.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability both short and long term
  • Develops personal action plan to penetrate new markets
  • Maintains key customer relationships while developing and implementing strategies for expanding the company''s customer base
  • Secure strategic agreements with priority target clients and maintain detailed client records and account plans for key accounts
  • Performs relative market analysis on the maintenance business potential and supports the VP of Maintenance in strategic and revenue planning
  • Supports the marketing lead on development of the annual event plan, including priority industry networking events
  • Manages the business development and marketing budget, ensuring plans are in place to obtain ROI
  • Leads the proposal team in developing proposals and group presentations.
  • Conducts research to provide business and market insight that will drive business direction and decisions
  • Researches and reports on industry, competitor and client data.
  • Develops presentations for target customers and facilitates the process to understand the key value-proposition points
  • Collaborates with other departments as appropriate to develop strategic perspective on new markets or technologies
  • Assists with preparation of management reports.
  • Observes and complies with all safety rules.



Required Skills:  

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 15+ years of industry experience
  • 10+ years in a business development leadership role
  • 5+ years'' experience with contracts negotiation, management, and long term service agreements.
  • Maintains a strong base of customer relationships in the Texas/LA gulf coast region and midwest
  • Self-starter, strong interpersonal communication skills with all levels of colleagues, comfortable working with executive management.
  • Willingness to work both independently and as a team to meet quick deadlines and objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills required.
  • Bachelor''s Degree Preferred
