Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce
• Oversee 1-6 other staff, making sure their daily tasks are complete, • Communicate directly with NYC Emergency Management on the results of daily work and will conduct -40 short phone calls every 8 hours. • The Manager will work out of a hotel room (80%) and may have short errands around the hotel (max 20%). • The hotel will be located in New York City. • The Manager will be provided with meals if working at meal-time hours: 9 AM (breakfast), 1 PM (lunch) and 6 PM (dinner)
Required Qualifications • A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a state''s department of education • At least 1 year managerial or supervisory experience of other employees and projects; retail, restaurant or other direct customer-service facing role • At least 1 year Experience in customer service or Social Services
Desired Qualifications • Ability to look at issues broadly and from diverse perspectives • Administrative and public relations skills • Ability to multi-task under pressure • Strong written and oral communication skills Physical Requirements • Able to walk up to 1 miles/day indoors • Able to carry a laptop and supporting forms (est. 25 lbs) • Must be flexible and adaptable in various situations and work settings Work Schedule: 8 AM - 10 PM daily (could be broken into two shifts)
