: Project Director is responsible for leading the development, coordination, and execution of the regional industrial and manufacturing business plan.
DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the development of the Business Plan to grow the business unit while directly and actively coaching, guiding, and supervising the Regional Management Team to achieve the Company''s strategic goals.
Review financial statements, bid and activity report, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine reasons needing cost reduction and program improvement.
Direct the execution of standard project management protocols and aid the team in analyzing and resolving problems that arise within project execution, including negotiations with clients as needed.
Actively foster and maintain business development relationships and opportunities.
Lead by example to foster and maintain a strong safety and health focused culture throughout all operations.
Actively mentor and develop others by providing constructive feedback and praise on the observed behaviors.
Support the Operational Management Team to achieve best performance and attainment of business strategic goals.
Ensure adequate personnel resources are in place and their skills and competencies are effectively leveraged.
Expect a strong performance-based culture and contribute to performance reviews and people staffing decisions within the company.
Ensure compensation rewards are fair and equitable and directly tied to performance.
Build a team culture throughout the company and between other business units, and departments.
Direct the execution following the established standard operating procedures and protocols of the company.
Aid the team in analyzing and resolving problems that arise within project execution, including negotiations with clients as needed.
Foster and maintain a culture of continuous improvement. Expect lessons learned, best practices, and operational excellence each and every day.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years'' experience in successful project management related to heavy industrial construction
10+ years'' experience managing multiple major projects
P&L experience $200+
Knowledge and experience in financial operations, project controls, contract review and negotiation
Knowledge of sales/marketing processes in the construction industry
Experience with LEAN, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement practices preferred
Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, presentation, and analytical skills a necessity.
Bachelor''s Degree preferred
