COMPANY OVERVIEW: Premier specialty provider in the areas of scaffolding, insulation, paintings and coatings.

LOCATION:  California (can be based in the San Francisco bay area or Los Angeles area)

The Vice President of Operations will lead the day to day operations of the region and will advise the President on the execution and direction of the region''s financial performance, operations, and strategy.  The position holder will ensure that the region achieves sustainable performance that enhances the company''s reputation in the market place, with customers, and in the communities where the company does business, in a safe and ethical manner.

Ensure operational excellence and effective implementation of the company''s strategies
Work closely with the executive team, participate in the short and long term strategic planning process
Provide leadership that fosters a competitive, collaborative high performance team
Adopt broad business concepts and apply them to enhance profitability, grow the business, and set organizational policies
Establish Regional, Strategic Account Management, Product Service Line, department and functional goals and budgets and manage performance against those plans
Develop and ensure compliance with annual operational and capital budgets
Focus on building the most efficient and cost effective operating model across geographies and customer contract structures
Leads process and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiencies, reduce cost and increase customer satisfaction
Develops and manages relationship with current and / or targeted customers
Plays a key role in the business development process, identifying potential new customers, formulated competitive bids and take part in negotiation process   

Required Skills:  
10+ years of increasing management responsibility in an industrial services organization, with the last 4-5 years being in a senior operations position 
Refining and petrochemical industry experience a must. Power industry experience a plus
Construction (EPC / GC) experience or soft crafts (scaffolding, insulation, painting and coatings) experience a plus
Union experience preferred
P&L responsibility of at least $50 million, during the last 4-5 years. 
Skilled in organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development, and strategic planning.
Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team
Experience in leading safe, reliable operations across multiple geographies and product service lines
Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and retain a talented employee population
College degree preferred but not required.
