EnduraCare Acute Care Services is a leading provider of rehabilitation therapy services in the US. The majority of our partnerships are hospital-based. We provide services in all rehabilitation venues including Inpatient Acute, hospital-based outpatient, free-standing orthopedic outpatient clinics, as well as Post-Acute Services - which include Inpatient Rehab Units, Skilled Nursing Units, Transitional Care Units and Swing bed.

Outstanding candidates will possess:

  • Healthcare background
  • Experience working in a geographically dispersed organization. We provide services in multiple states and must have someone who understands the logistical challenges of a multi-state workforce, labor laws, etc.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding to ensure compliance within state / federal laws (e.g., ERISA, ADA, ADEA, Title VII….)
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge in:
  1. Business Management and Strategy
  2. Employee and Labor Relations
  3. Workforce Planning and Employment
  4. Compensation and Benefits
  5. Human Resource Development
  6. Risk Management

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization''s human resource function and performance. Maintain appropriate policies and procedures for the effective management of the people resources of the company which include but are not limited to: programs for employee relations, affirmative action, sexual harassment, professional licensure, educational training, and career development.
  • Participate in the development of the corporation''s plans and programs as a strategic partner but particularly from the perspective of the impact on people.
  • Establish credibility throughout the organization with management and the employees in order to be an effective listener and problem solver of people issues.
  • Provide direction to management to continually improve company programs, policies, procedures, and practices associated with the overall improvement of operation and effectiveness issues of the people in the company.
  • Develop programs to allow the corporation to embrace applicants and employees of all backgrounds and to permit the full development and performance of all employees.
  • Maintain the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department; Supervise and manage HR staff.
  • Act as the senior advisor on Human Resource issues to other executives and all levels of employees throughout the company.
  • Develop proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance and to provide programs which utilize an employee and company partnership for the short and long-range health and welfare protection of the employees.
  • Act as Plan Administrator for the 401(k) plan and serve as the Chairman of the Investment Advisory Committee.
  • Maintain current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable state laws regarding Human Resources.
  • Act as company spokesperson to external organizations on matters such as policies, EEOC, personnel related requests, surveys and government compliance reports.
  • Manage unemployment compensation program and represent company at hearings as necessary.
  • Administer Worker''s Compensation program.
  • Administer and maintain job descriptions and performance evaluation program.
  • Provide direction, counseling and support to managers and staff regarding employee management issues, communication, and other areas.Assists managers with documenting employee performance issues.
  • Work in tandem with Quality Assurance to provide a safe and secure working environment and maintain compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) standards.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum of seven years (7) Human Resources experience;
  • Minimum of five years (5) at the senior management or executive level in a company of similar or larger size, in which the candidate has been responsible for:functional and strategic aspects of Human Resources; departmental staff assessment, management and development of an HR staff; leadership and organizational development; previous experience with multi-site/multi-state organizations, and superior communication skills to effectively address all levels within the organization.

Educational/Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelors'' degree in Business, HR/OD, or other related field;
  • Professional certification at PHR/SPHR level or MS/MBA equivalent in related field.
  • Proven success working under abbreviated timelines
  • Exhibit strong integrity, confidentiality and ability to adapt to and lead change
  • Exhibit superior written and oral communication skills

Requisite: CHC Certification is essential.  However, not a pre-requisite for the position.  The certification can be secured after employment, but within a specified time period.
