Title:  Counter Server/Baker Assistant

Company information: A brand new artisan quick-serve restaurant based around pies and pastries. The restaurant is located in Downtown Brooklyn''s Dekalb market.

Position Description: Seeking 4 - 6 energetic part-time or full-time Counter Server/Assistant Bakers to be based in Downtown Brooklyn, NY''s Dekalb''s Market. Counter Server/Assistant Bakers will take on responsibility for servicing customers, assistance with baking, and maintaining stock levels and cleanliness of this unique concept. Starting salary is competitive with significant potential to grow as the company grows.

Responsibilities:

• Service customer orders - quick service of premade pasties and pies; prepare craft beverages
• Assist with onsite baking - prepare and bake handheld pasties and pies
• Maintain cleanliness and other requirements for necessary food protection
• Maintain onsite inventory levels of food, beverage and miscellaneous items
• Help monitor quality and production efficiencies with time & temperature documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Retail food service - preferred
• Baking or bakery experience - preferred
• NYC Food Protection Certificate - preferred, must have it within 3 months of hiring
• Desire to learn and grow with a new start-up company
• Willing to work flexible hours
• Willing to apply technology used in the workflow process (e.g., kitchen equipment, POS suite, inventory management, online human resources portal)
