Job Description:  

COMPANY OVERVIEW: Our client is a horizontally integrated petrochemical services company. They provide pump services, marine services, certified vibration analysis, millwright and field Services combined with a full service onsite machine shop.

POSITION TITLE:  Marketing Manager

COMPENSATION:   Pay DOE

LOCATION: Houston, TX

SUMMARY: : The basic function of the Marketing Manager is to promote, advocate and coordinate efforts to enhance Company sales, branding and marketing efforts.  The Marketing Manager reports to the Vice President of Sales.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Determines the service to be offered consistent with the company''s mission and ongoing evaluation process
  • Identifies the unique service demands each customer requires and solicits business from these customers with an open eye to expanding and maximizing service realized from each account
  • Develops the programs necessary to pursue new accounts and secure new business for the company  
  • Provides leadership and territory management necessary for the success of the territory''s marketing effort
  • Analyzes & monitors territory sales statistics to help formulate a strategic direction for an effective marketing plan
  • Measures performance to plan & shares in making the necessary adjustments to maintain profitability goals
  • Provides effective customer service 
  • Monitors and controls expenditure of the territory sales and marketing function to conform to budgetary requirements
  • Consistently upgrades selling skills by analyzing opportunities and failures, seeking management''s guidance and assistance
  • Provides for customer education including seminars, trade shows and brochures
  • Controls and monitors promotional programs
  • Works with management to collect accounts receivable
  • Assembles consumer rating reports by compiling, consolidating, formatting and summarizing information, graphs, and presentations 
  • Updates competitor database by inputting data from field sales; compiling, consolidating, formatting and summarizing information, graphs, and presentations; distributing reports
  • Prepares mailers and brochures by formatting content and graphics; arranging printing and internet packages
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Accomplishes marketing and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Manages quarterly company newsletter
  • Handles and/or assists with even planning as well as sponsorship opportunities
  • Manages, composes or obtains press releases written on Company''s behalf
  • Manages social media outlets and company websites



Required Skills:  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-5 years'' experience in Marketing Management. Would also consider a more recent college graduate with 2 years marketing internship experience and strong social media experience.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Adobe and other graphics software, HubSpot
  • Bachelor''s Degree Preferred
