The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, installing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft Operating Systems, VMware and Storage environments. The ideal candidate must be familiar with a wide variety of LAN/WAN Technologies including routing, switching and firewall technologies, and will perform a variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and training tasks to ensure the computer network performance meets company and user satisfaction. Will also provide direction, information and recommendations regarding infrastructure configurations and installations.

Specific duties include:

• Hardware/Software updates of core Virtualization and StorageArchitecture.
• Cluster administration andmanagement.
• New virtual server provisioning and maintenance of existing virtualservers.
• Create/maintain multi-use application stacks for quick spin-ups of standardVM''s.
• Building and running scripts to manage/automate tasks related to VMWare and O/Splatforms.
• Ensuring enterprise standards, best practices and security are maintained andenforced on Virtual and Storage infrastructure.
• Performing troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose Virtual infrastructureproblems.
• Ensuring adequate availability and capacity of the DataCenter.
• Evaluating current infrastructure technology, conducting research, recommending and implementing innovate infrastructure technology that can enhance the reliability,security, productivity and efficiency of the ITinfrastructure.
• Managing projects by developing detailed project plans, procuring necessaryresources, monitoring progress and providing regular status reports to managementteam.
• Developing and maintaining documentation of design, as well as on-going operation and administration ofinfrastructure.
• Providing technical write-ups and root cause analysis in the event of systemdegradations, outages, or anomalies involving data centertechnology.
• Performs trouble shooting procedures and designs resolutiondescriptions.
• Conducting risk assessments and business impact analysis to identify vulnerable areasand applications within theenvironment.
• Reviewing IT operations designs to ensure that the infrastructure design continues to meetthe needs of thebusiness.
• Ensuring best practices, standards and guidelines are applied in developing, designing and implementing solutions, establishing work priorities, resolving problems and reporting onproject status.
• Evaluating and recommending new products; maintaining knowledge of emerging technologies for application to theenterprise.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 10+ years VMware virtualization administration experience (vSphere 5 orlater).
• 10+ years of experience using Storage Area Networks(SAN)
• 10+ years server engineering and administrationexperience.
• 5+ years of experience in Office365 / ExchangeAdministration
• Experience with VMware SRM as an administrator
• Experience implementing a virtualized solution fromscratch.
• Understanding of VM governance andbest-practices
• Expertise that includes: VMware ESX, SAN technology (NetApp, EMC, ZFS), Cisco UCS,Data Center operations, and enterprisemonitoring
• SAN/NAS experience and troubleshooting (Prefer: NETAPP FlexPod or Oracle ZFS)
• Hands-on experience with current Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019platforms
• Hands-on experience with current ESX virtualizationplatforms
• A basic understanding of switching, routing, andfirewalls
• A basic understanding of Linux RedHat
• Must be a self-starter that can work independently and deliver according toexpectation
• In depth direct system engineering experience involving specific hardware, software andservices solutions with a focus on virtualization solutions
• Advanced skills in solving complex technical problems involving integrated operating systemsand hardwareplatforms.
• Advanced skills in configuring and installing equipment to support LAN/WANapplications.
• Knowledge of a wide variety of operating and serversystems
• Understanding of Disaster Recovery concepts andapplications.
• Proven ability to apply technology and process solutions to businessproblems.
• Proven ability to manage large and complex projects andissues.
• Experience in a large inter-networking or distributed computingenvironment.
