COMPANY OVERVIEW: A leading industrial services company targeting the petrochemical, refining, and power generation industries

POSITION TITLE: Sr. Project Manger / Project Director

COMPENSATION: Competitive salary DOE + bonus + company vehicle or vehicle allowance

LOCATION: Pittsburgh, PA

SUMMARY: The Project Director / Sr. Project Manager oversees all aspects of major projects including internal team, subcontractor and client interface.  This will be the senior most position on site.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversees/directs operations management including managing the project''s schedule, budget, quality, technical efforts and employees
Oversee change order and contract management. Responsible for coordinating the development, maintenance and administration of change management.
Review and manage current site organizational structure and work with team to make any required changes
Work with corporate safety director and site safety manager to ensure that goals are met.
Interface with client as needed and on a regular basis.
Manage the day to day financial performance of the project by working with the team to control costs, measure productivity and analyze key performance indicators as they relate to actual performance vs. budget.
Implements and oversees the successful implementation of short and longer range plans and programs that meet operations goals and objectives (e.g. growth objectives).
Provides guidance and recommendations to the President and other senior managers regarding the operating structure and actions/processes necessary to effectively manage current and projected activities.
Evaluates the results of overall and/or specific operations regularly and systematically and reports these results to the President and other senior managers  on an ongoing, regular basis.
Acts as both a formal and informal resource to the President and other senior managers, providing input on strategic direction and initiatives as well as tactical issues.
Ensures that all organization activities and operations are carried out in compliance with company policy and controls and local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.
Maintain accurate records relating to matters such as inventory, billable work, hours worked, services produced and purchased.



Required Skills:  
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years of construction project management responsibility in a mid-large size industrial construction or specialty services organization overseeing multiple/large projects with significant impact on overall business results.
P&L responsibility of at least $100 million, during the last 5-7 years 
Experience in industrial construction or related soft / hard crafts a must
Proven history of leading with strong safety performance (e.g. low lost time/incident rates).
Candidate must possess excellent communication skills combined with strong business acumen to engage customers and to communicate complex ideas clearly, simply and convincingly.
Strong process orientation and organizational skills a must.   
Record of developing and implementing pro-active solutions to meet customer''s needs benefiting the company and the customer.     
Record of adhering to the highest ethical and professional standards. Must maintain a high degree of integrity.   
Ability to manage multiple projects and effectively meet deadlines, while adhering to the highest level of Safety performance/standards. 
Must have a working/operational knowledge of key financial and operational drivers for success. 
College degree preferred but not required.
