Department Manager:
Set goals and conduct department meetings to review sales goals and targets.
Trains associates on sales, customer service, operations, merchandising, product knowledge and asset protection.
Ensure corporate merchandise plans are executed.
Oversee the maintenance of floor standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
Track placement and signage of ad goods and verify pricing in store.
Models customer service for associates and promote sales whenever interacting with customers.
Monitor associates sales techniques.
Recruits, interviews and trains all new department associates.
Complete yearly performance reviews for all department associates.
Schedules effectively to maximize sales.
Prerequisite skills/experience for position
Excellent communication and leadership skills, and sound judgement.
Strong attention to customer service issues.
Prior merchandising and planning responsibility necessary.
Detail oriented and strong attention to customer service.
Ability to merchandise and execute company standards successfully.
Computer skills a plus.
College degree in business, fashion merchandises a plus.
