Estimating Manager

COMPANY OVERVIEW: Our client is a is a leader in the design, manufacturing, and repair of Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers, Helixchangers, and related equipment.

POSITION:    Estimating Manager

COMPENSATION: Competitive Salary + DOE

BENEFITS: Standard package

LOCATION:  Houston, Texas

SUMMARY: To establish and implement consistent procedures to be used by all estimators. Managing a team of approximately 8-10 Estimating Engineers by establishing assignments, schedules, and priorities and checking their work for technical correctness and compliance with corporate procedures.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and improve existing estimating procedures, confirming departmental consistency
• Establish and guide departmental and employees’ roles and objectives
• Assign, schedule, and prioritize workload among the Estimating department
• Review all technical proposals for design correctness and compliance with estimating procedures Ensure compliance with established deadlines

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, with minimum of 10 years relevant experience
• Thorough understanding of design per ASME Sec VIII Div. 1, as well as fabrication and estimating methods related to pressure vessel and heat exchanger manufacturing
• In-depth knowledge of the various Materials of Construction in ASME Sec. II
• Basic understanding of thermal process & familiarity with HTRI
