HSE & QA Manager

LOCATION: Houston, Texas
SUMMARY: The HSE & QA Manager is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Company’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Management System. The HSE & QA Manager provides guidance to the organization and supports the QA process from pre-qualification and tender requests to project and operational HSE & QA plans. In his role he/she supports the project management teams, engineering departments and Company sales department.
DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages QA and HSE Department
- Responsible for all aspects of implementation, maintenance control and continuous improvement of Quality and HSE Management System
- Origination, Revision and Control of all Procedures of the Quality and HSE Management System
- Control and Maintenance of QHSE Training Requirements and Training Status for all Staff
- Evaluation and action initiation on existing and new QA/HSE requirements from Client
- Execution of Internal/external QMS & HSE MS Audit
- Develops and implements HSE & QA managements systems, processes, and procedures that improve business operations in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001
- Communicates information on the HSE & QA Management System throughout the organization and promotes HSE awareness.
- Supports the organization on HSE & QA matters as the primary point of contact.
- Provides quality management, HSE, and project management training to employees.
- Participates in tender and project teams as the HSE & QA Expert.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 years minimum relevant working experience in quality, safety, environmental engineering, HSE management systems, project management in a highly regulated industry
- 3 years in the oil & gas, offshore, marine/shipping industry
- Audit training (IRCA/IATCA approved)
- Safety training qualification: OSHA 30 Hours – Construction
- Field Safety Experience on major Construction Projects
- CPR and First Aid Certified
