Financial Advisor Role and Requirements
The job requires initiative, the ability to market to locate clients, strong interpersonal skills, effective communications and persuasive ability, analytical ability, persistence and an entrepreneurial perspective to build your practice. To be a financial advisor, you will need to pass exams for federal and state licenses and registrations for securities – including: Series 7, Series 63 or Series 66,
State life, accident and health insurance licenses.
Choices
We know of no other firm that offers the choices of affiliation we offer our advisors. You can choose to pursue one of two options. Depending on your background and experience, you can begin as an employee financial advisor or independent financial advisor
Employee Financial Advisor Option
For employee financial advisors, we offer a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes a draw with an opportunity for bonuses, comprehensive benefits, paid expenses, and extensive training.
You also have choices on how you begin your initial training. You can choose the Sponsorship and Self-Study option, which allows you more flexibility, but requires more self-discipline and organization. You can also choose the Immediate Hire option, which offers more support and structure, but less flexibility and free time. Each option has its benefits so choose what works best for you and your situation.
