POSITION TITLE: General Manager

SUMMARY: The Senior VP & General Manager leads, scales, and directs all aspects of all industrial services operations, including day-to-day execution, P&L accountability, strategic growth, safety culture, and continuous improvement. This role ensures sustainable operational performance, superior customer satisfaction, and consistent execution across all regions/branches.
DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operational Leadership & Execution – Lead day-to-day operations across all regions/branches; ensure consistent quality, productivity, cost control, and safe execution of industrial services work.
- P&L Ownership & Financial Performance – Drive revenue growth, margin improvement, budgeting, forecasting, and financial discipline across the business.
- Strategic Growth & Market Expansion – Develop and execute growth strategies, expand service capabilities, strengthen customer relationships, and pursue new market opportunities.
- Leadership Development & Talent Management – Build and mentor a high-performing leadership team; promote accountability, coaching, workforce development, and succession planning
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with HR, Safety, Accounting, Quality, BD, and Project Services to align processes, improve systems, and solve business challenges.
- Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence – Lead initiatives that improve efficiency, standardize best practices, and enhance customer satisfaction.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, Engineering, Construction, or related field preferred
- 10+ years of progressive leadership in industrial/construction/maintenance services.
- Minimum 4-5 years in a senior operational leadership role (GM, VP of Ops, Area Manager).
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-location operations with P&L responsibility
- Expertise in industrial services such as scaffolding, insulation, painting, maintenance, or construction.
- Strong operational acumen with proven ability to lead complex projects and dispersed teams.
- Deep commitment to safety, compliance, and customer-focused performance.
- Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to develop, mentor, and retain a high-performing operations team.
- High ethical standards, sound judgment, and strategic decision-making.
- Proficiency with operational systems (Sage 100, HH2, Salesforce, Odyssey, digital reporting tools).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret performance metrics.
- Certifications such as NACE, NCCER, PMP, PMI, or industry-recognized credentials.
- TWIC Card and valid driver’s license.
- Experience with estimating, project controls, or multi-craft operations.
- Existing customer relationships within industrial markets (refining, chemical, power, manufacturing).
