COMPANY OVERVIEW: Industrial Services company serving the Petrochem Market.

POSITION TITLE:  Director of Operations

COMPENSATION:   100K +  Bonus Structure

BENEFITS:  Benefits package, car allowance, phone allowance

LOCATION: Baton Rouge, LA

SUMMARY: The Director of Operations will oversee the day-to-day activities and operations of the division.  This position is responsible for ensuring the department is managed and performing efficiently and effectively while working with Business Development to retain current clients/projects and identify potential new clients/projects. 

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directs the planning, coordination and facilitation of mobile services jobs.
  • Collaborates with Business Development team to establish a relationship with current and potential clients allowing the opportunity for the BD team to provide additional services across all divisions.
  • Collaborates with Business Development team to help identify and obtain new projects and potential clients.
  • Provides quotes and prices as requested by Business Development and other division leaders.
  • Works in conjunction with Client Services department to provide services for clients.
  • Collaborates with all divisions in utilizing and providing staffing and resources when needed.   
  • Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the division''s efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business procedures.
  • Implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations.  
  • Ensures a safe worksite for all staff. 
  • Ensures division is reaching goals set by company leadership.
  • Plans, directs, controls, implements, evaluates, monitors, and forecasts budgets and cost of in division to achieve financial objectives. 
  • Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to managers; for major changes, collaborates with entire operations staff to provide guidance on changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.
  • Improves customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes.
  • Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 



Required Skills:  

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLILIES:

  • Participates in the hiring and training of departmental managers and staff as needed.
  • Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of departmental managers.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. 
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

    COMPETENCIES

  • Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in business and finance.
  • Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior managerial and diplomacy skills.
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor''s degree in Business Administration or related field required. 
  • Extensive and diversified background with at least 10 years of related experience.
