Job Description:  
SUMMARY: Responsible for preparing cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals, develop more economical ways to construct projects and provide comprehensive deliverables for major estimates. 

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
 • Determine and advise what types of projects to bid, strategies, techniques, etc.
• Formally responsible for making recommendations regarding policies associated with the job''s purpose and essential responsibilities.
• Determine whether and how to incorporate pricing and trending feedback from purchasing and executed projects.
 • Interact with vendors and the company purchasing and projects groups to get pricing feedback and improve estimating accuracy.
• Improve templates and pricing feedback system and develop training programs.
• Support the development of business plans and goals, and develop strategy for management of client contacts regarding new work, contract negotiation, claims resolution and future work potential.
• Provide technical assistance in negotiating contracts, change orders, etc.
• All estimating functions, incorporating research of statistical data on labor analysis, budget quantity, estimating factors and historical data review.
Required Skills:  
REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years estimating experience
• Must have prior field experience to understand how to estimate the job
• Strong piping and welding background; fabrication experience a plus
• Turnaround experience a big plus
• Strong time management, organizational and communication skills
