Company Summary: Premiere industrial distributor of large specialized products.

Location: Houston, TX

Title: Inside Sales

Compensation:  $50-$55K

Travel: 25-30%

SUMMARY: Responsible for selling new equipment and maintenance services to a defined territory.

Duties or Responsibilities:

  • Assertive and confident self-starter with the ability to learn quickly, be energetic and personable, and able to manage multiple priorities while working with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to think creatively, highly organized, attentiveness to detail
  • Capacity to effectively comprehend and relay technical information
  • Prospect and pre-qualify projects utilizing lead database services and industry publications
  • Manage incoming telephone and email inquiries
  • Recommend products to customers based on specific needs and interests
  • Evaluate customer specifications to ensure compliance with technical and commercial requirements
  • Prepare proposals and pricing estimates
  • Answer questions about products, pricing, applications and lead times
  • Provide support to nationwide outside sales representatives
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, solid math skills and the ability to understand technical products
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and web-based applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A sense of urgency for maintaining a high standard of customer service results

Required Skills:  

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor''s Degree in Business or a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience (entry level applications welcomed)
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge of construction and industrial elevator products is a plus.
