Job Description:  

Medical Staffing Solutions, USA, an established federal government and commercial contractor headquartered in Norfolk, VA, is seeking a full time Medical Records Manager to provide services within the Health Information Services department for a residential treatment center located in Norfolk, Virginia. The main function of the Records Manager is to plan, organize, and direct functions and activities of full aspects of the clinical records. The position provides a range of services relating to the management and use of records.

What you will do:

  • Gather data to support patient-related information system needs and departmental operations and services.
  • Track location of medical records
  • Monitor accreditation/licensing survey results
  • Validate data for patient-related information system needs, or for departmental operations or services.
  • Develop a records storage plan, which includes the short and long-term housing of physical records and digital information
  • Develop and implement an integrated Utilization Review Plan
  • Supervise departmental staff

What you will need:

  • BA or BS in Human Services field
  • Minimum of five years in record-related field in the health care industry, preferably in behavioral health care.
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
  • HRIT certification preferred
