Absolute Staffers is actively seeking a qualified Psychiatrist to work at Andrews Air Force Base in Camp Springs, MD. The potential candidate will need to possess the following scope of work and qualifications:

The Contractor shall perform services and support compatible with the medical facility’s operating capacity and equipment. All services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles and ethics of the profession and applicable professional specialty organizations, The Joint Commission standards, Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, applicable Department of Defense (DoD), military specific regulations, directives, and policies, and Military Treatment Facility (MTF) specific policies and procedures. Contract health care providers shall give the highest regard to patient dignity and observe the precepts of the American Hospital Association’s Bill of Rights for Patients.

Specific Duties:

• Examines, evaluates, diagnoses, and treat Psychiatric disorders
• Prepares and reviews case histories.
• Obtains and evaluates data through interview techniques
• Diagnoses psychiatric disorders
• Prescribes and evaluates effectiveness of a wide range of therapeutic measures
• Recommends disposition of psychiatric cases
• Manages and direct psychiatric services
• Serves as medical and psychiatric consultant to clinical psychologists and clinical social workers.
• Assigns psychiatric nurses and technicians to functions contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of patients
• Instructs interns and residents in psychiatric principles and procedures

   

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 24 months of experience within the last 36 months
• Current board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
• Completion of residency or fellowship in psychiatry acceptable to the Surgeon General, HQ USAF is mandatory
• Valid license to practice with no restrictions or sanctions in one of the US States or territories
• Must be a US citizen
