POSITION TITLE: Regional Sales Manager                


COMPENSATION:  $90K - $95K + Commission +  company vehicle


BENEFITS: Full benefits package




SUMMARY: Plans and directs regional sales activities to optimize bookings and maximize sales orders to meet or exceed booking quotas and sales objectives. 




  • Formulate and implement sales promotion policies and procedures, as well as forecasting.  Assists with overall sales promotion and marketing programs to meet regional business /product group targets.
  • Develop regional sales strategies to achieve sales and margin targets for the company.
  • Develop representative solution selling strategy and tactics to meet sales targets.
  • Maintain an updated sales pipeline for the assigned region.
  • Provide information on product application, technical assistance, pricing strategies and competitive information to field sales.
  • Locate new uses and markets for products and recommend distribution channels for them.
  • Work with distributors and direct with clients to secure product specifications and orders.
  • Development of relationships with new and existing customers through personal meetings, presentations and trade shows.
  • Manage product pricing decisions to meet sales and profit margin targets.
  • Generate reports on business sales activities and makes periodic forecasts on sales potential to sales and operations management staff.
  • Recommend product design and development needs based on analysis of market and communicate to Product Manager, R&D and Engineering
  • Keeps informed of changes in assigned region that might affect product sales.  Gathers and shares information regarding competitive product developments, sales strategies, etc.  Communicates regularly with sales and operations management regarding issues.
  • Maintains a team philosophy with other departments to facilitate problem solving and provide good customer service.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
  • Significant travel required (50%).-For Houston 25%, for other territories 50% overnight


Required Skills:  


  • 5 + years industrial sales experience
  • Bachelors preferred but not required
  • Must have a large database of contacts
  • Have good customer service skills
  • Excellent communications (verbal and written)
  • Strong organizational/management skills a plus
