Job Description:  
COMPANY OVERVIEW: An Industrial Construction company that is dedicated to providing safe and quality construction services to a diverse set of industries throughout the United States.

POSITION TITLE: Business Development Manager 

COMPENSATION: Base salary DOE + bonus + vehicle allowance

BENEFITS: Standard package

LOCATION: Houston

SUMMARY: This position is for a sales professional with strong track record of winning new business and contributing significantly to company growth.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identifies new sales opportunities, sales and marketing strategic plans, and enhance business relationships with current project customers.
Responsible for building a pipeline of project opportunities.
Develops and maintains relationships with Engineering Firms, Owners and Developers to ensure future partnerships.
Identifies, qualifies and secures new business opportunities through personal networks and marketing research.
Works closely with Executive Team to assess opportunities and confirms that the type of work fits company''s business model and risk profile.
Works in conjunction with Management to determine prospective projects, probabilities for securing the project and development of proposal submission.
Manages the business development process from opportunity targeting through proposal development, booking and transition to operations team.
Manage marketing budgets, sales objectives, and forecasts within assigned territory.
Provides planning help to prospective and current clients prior to contract execution.
Coordinates with other disciplines/departments, customers and vendors/suppliers to ensure successful development and execution of projects.
Respond to customer requests and questions regarding service and account information to ensure consistent customer service and satisfaction. 
Evaluate, monitor and report project operating performance data by communicating with senior management. 
Report on sales results, market conditions, or account metrics with firms CRM software.
Responsibilities may also include preparing displays and participating in trade shows 



Required Skills:  
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years Business Development experience in industrial construction or related experience; must have strong book of contacts - refineries, petrochem and EPC companies.
Ability to manage budgets, maximize profitability and generate future work through building relationships
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to deal with people at different levels of management, engineering and design, and with internal and external customers. 
Excellent verbal and written skills, self-motivated, takes ownership, strategic and detail oriented. 
Strong computer skills including MS Word and Excel.
Willingness and ability to travel overnight when job assignment dictates.
Bachelor''s degree preferred
