Job Description:  
The Product Repair Coordinator (we call this position a Technical Support Rep) is the "go-to" person for our customers when they are having trouble with their Global Surgical products or want to purchase parts/accessories for their Global products.  Customers calling for assistance vary in technical skills so our Technical Support Representative must be able to adjust their communications to the caller''s ability level and maintain a calm, friendly demeanor. Technical issues could be mechanical, electrical and/or hydraulic in nature.  With training, Technical Support Reps become the expert in our product.

  • Assists customers (dental and ENT office staff) having issues with their Global Surgical product.  Communicates with customers, sales reps and repair reps via telephone walking them through troubleshooting steps to determine the cause(s) of the product problem and repair(s) needed. Troubleshooting requires mechanical, electrical and some basic hydraulic knowledge. 
  • References drawings and schematics, as needed, through Global''s computer system during troubleshooting process.    
  • Orders parts and accessories through company''s computer system to be delivered to customer.  
  • Creates return merchandise approvals (on company''s computer system).
  • Contacts and schedules repair technicians to make necessary repairs and provides assistance when needed via phone.

  • Requirements:
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) leaving a good impression on others
  • Mechanical, electrical and hydraulic knowledge
  • Ability to use a computer to enter information into various internal systems
  • Ability to read mechanical prints and electrical schematics
  • Ability to work in a cubical using computer, phone and headset
  • Well organized, high attention to detail and excellent follow-through
  • Customer service experience in a technical capacity - 1+ year experience desired
  • High school diploma or equivalent.  Technical training in mechanical or electrical/electronics is very helpful
  • Good solid work experience showing stability, reliability and dependability
  • Able to work during regular office hours (8:00am-5:00pm plus or minus a half hour), Monday through Friday
