POSITION TITLE: Service Manager

COMPENSATION: Competitive salary DOE

LOCATION: Baton Rouge, LA

SUMMARY: Responsible for coordinating and supervising the overall delivery of quality performance by mechanics, drivers, and service associates.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Service Manager will work closely with the Branch Manager and be responsible for:

  • Coordination and supervision of the overall delivery of quality performance by mechanics, drivers, and service associates
  • Scheduling and performing timely repairs for branch equipment
  • Creating work schedules and maintaining proper accounting of Technician productivity
  • Manage all preventative maintenance and OSHA required inspections (DOT, Annual Crane, etc)
  • Work with branch manager on all required training requirements
  • Ensuring a safe working environment



Required Skills:  

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 10 years'' service and maintenance in the crane and heavy equipment industry (hydraulic truck cranes, heavy transportation, etc)
  • Manage mid-size fleet of various cranes and heavy transport equipment
  • 5+ mechanics working under this individual
  • Associates or Bachelor''s degree preferred but not required
  • Basic understanding of business management, computer skills and ability to multi task
  • Familiarity with scheduling and expediting the turnaround of equipment fleet will be beneficial
  • Computer literacy; Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, data entry
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Physical Requirements:

The employee will be working in an office environment. The employee may be required to wear appropriate PPE equipment. The employee could occasionally be exposed to extreme temperatures, fumes, or airborne particles. The noise level in the workplace is moderate.

  • Regularly spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers
