COMPANY OVERVIEW: A leading manufacture of separation and phase contacting process internals.

POSITION TITLE: Territory Sales Manager

COMPENSATION: Competitive salary + bonus

BENEFITS: Standard package

LOCATION: Houston, TX (up to 80% travel)

SUMMARY: The Territory Sales Manager will have a specific area and/or customer base and will report to the National Sales Manager. They will work closely with others on the sales team in order to gain new customers and increase market share. The main focus will be on replacement equipment in the refinery and chemical industry and calling on turnaround planners..  

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Introduce company to industry decision makers, as a manufacturer of separations and mass transfer equipment, establish new relationships and further develop existing relationships to grow our business.
Meet or exceed sales targets and personal goals for replacement equipment, separations equipment, placement of hardware trailers/lockers, which will include material take-offs for hardware proposals.
Set goal for number of personal customer sales contacts per week.  This does not include deliveries of trailer/lockers or hardware. 
On call via cell phone for 24-hour service, at all times.  Meaning, customers may contact the sales person after-hours and the phone  call or email must be answered.  Call should be handled or passed to person on call. 
Strive to reach the financial goals for the company bookings, shipments and margins.
Communicate and interface internally with other departments building an exceptional persuasive relationship.  Being a team player to offer the best solutions to our customers.
Strive to capture competitor''s equipment during turnarounds, building market share for company.
Assist with material take-offs, be able to read and understand competitor drawings.
Responsible to control expenses.  (Including travel, customer outings and trade shows, etc.).
May be some physical labor required to load hardware trailers, lockers, and deliver to customers, as needed.  
Produce weekly/monthly reports, TAR reports, and provide feedback to the Sales Manager, in a timely manner.
Travel can be up to 80 % and will include some overnight.
Other task may be assigned from time to time.


Required Skills:  
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 3-5 years'' experience in an outside sales environment
Ability to review and assess customer inquiries and provide technical direction to product design and manufacturing personnel
Ability to assess and interpret market trends pertaining to product design and implementation
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, as required in developing and maintaining working relationships and making presentations to customers and in facilitating the successful closing of sales transactions
Analytical skills, as required in assessing customer needs and requirements and providing direction to the preparation of responsive quotes or proposals
Proficiency in the use of personal computers, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
Bachelor''s Degree preferred.
