POSITION TITLE: Business Development Manager 

COMPENSATION: $70K - $110K base salary + commission + vehicle allowance

BENEFITS: Standard package

LOCATION: Houston, TX

SUMMARY: The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for promoting company''s industrial cleaning capabilities, and building, maintaining, and managing customer relationships in order to maximize sales and growth.  

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Proactively drive new and profitable business by developing key account relationships through cold calling, recurring customer contact, networking, internal leads, responding to customer inquiry, and other traditional methods
Hunt, sell and cross-sell industrial services (hydro-blasting, vacuum services, hydro-excavation, tank cleaning, chemical cleaning, turnarounds, etc.) to new and existing customers in assigned territory and/or nationally
Grow industrial cleaning revenues in assigned geographic area, through measurement of actual revenues and signed planned number of MSA''s
Develop detailed plans for growth of industrial cleaning services in assigned geographical territory, including prospect list, potential annual volume and company share
Develop detail market plans for the sale of the company services, promptly follow up on leads and referrals, establish customer rapport and identify needs; using and maintaining an active log of quotes and opportunities to assure goal is consistently met
Develop and coordinate responses to RFP, RFI and bid proposals for key and national accounts
Propose, negotiate, and close profitable revenue opportunities and new accounts by leveraging strong relationships with senior executives
Communicate key issues, information and opportunities with respective operations and sales management.
Effectively communicate the account strategy to the marketing and sales team, operations, and other internal customers and stakeholders
Keep abreast of services, market conditions and competitive activities, as well as, maintaining up to date understanding of industry trends that affect target markets
Regularly attend and participate in company sales meetings and training
Provide support for any special projects as assigned by manager.
Significant travel as necessary in support of account development and management requirements.


Required Skills:  
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
5 + years of experience in sales or a sales role in the industrial equipment rental industry
Accomplished in presenting to C-level executive, small to large business owners, operators and managers.
Ability to close total annual plan based upon account base plan (developed annually). 
Able to qualify prospects, makes effective sales presentations, answer questions and objections in a proficient and responsible manner; Aggressively manage quotes to close sales.
Able to appraise and survey customer requirements, and through management and operational support properly apply company pricing policy, and contracts policy.
Competent understanding of services for both industrial and environmental work.  Able to effectively present company capabilities, and answer questions from customers about company practices.  Ability to understand customer requirements and assemble the right technical team to answer specific technical questions about company services.
Deliver on plans to grow customer spend with company through either the sale of new services, or capturing more of the wallet share of the account.
Develops detail market plans for the sale of company services within assigned accounts; Promptly follows up on leads and referrals.  Establish customer rapport and identify needs.  Maintain an active backlog of quotes to assure booking goal is consistently met.
Insure marketing and sales activities use the most cost effective resources to gain sale.  Recover cost of engineering and technical support specialist''s involvement in sales process within first year of customer engagement.
Understand collection policy and interface with customer to resolve collection issues as required.
