COMPANY OVERVIEW: Leading industrial services specialty services company providing services to the refining, petrochemical and power industries.
POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Director
COMPENSATION: $125K - $135K salary DOE + bonus
BENEFITS: Standard package
LOCATION: Houston, TX
SUMMARY: The HR Director partners with operations leaders in Texas addressing employee and labor relations issues and facilitating training programs
DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support management in addressing employee relations matters, including conducting investigations and recommending corrective action for concerns that arise.
Work with management to develop and monitor performance improvement plans.
Supports benefits and payroll in coordinating leaves of absences in accordance with company policy, and FMLA/CFRA. Prepares notices to employees regarding their leave status, and advises benefits and payroll on how to coordinate leave.
Partners with management in the recruitment and retention of employees.
Assist in analyzing company compensation policies and recommend changes as appropriate to establish and maintain competitive rates.
Assist with the annual performance review process, merit increase and management development plans.
Actively maintains and updates the HR module. Organizes and maintains records, data tracking and filling systems. Develop reports from HR module for various projects as needed.
Answer employee questions relating to policies and procedures.
Manage Local training programs; Foster and support Corporate Training initiatives and promote training system usage.
Integrates company''s safety culture into Human Resource practices
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
15+ years of experience in Human Resources; 5+ years management experience
Bachelor''s Degree in Human Resources or related field
SHRM certification a plus
Strong background in employee relations, EEOC and investigations
Strong background in hiring craft / skilled trade employees
Training background a plus
Track record of working closely with operations management
Ability to work collaboratively and influence others to do the same
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
Ability to effectively evaluate, train and supervise the work of others
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with HRIS, Time & Attendance, Payroll and ERP systems
