COMPANY OVERVIEW: Premier provider of environmental remediation and demolition services for the oil and gas sector.

POSITION TITLE: Business Development Manager

COMPENSATION: $100K-$150K DOE + Bonus

BENEFITS: Standard

LOCATION: Houston, TX

SUMMARY: Responsible for generating new business within the Oil and Gas sector and will include leading business development and capture efforts, sales and marketing, and proposal development This position will identify key decision makers, contribute to overall business development strategy, participate in risk evaluation, and evaluate strategic opportunities which successfully leverage the company''s capabilities within the environmental remediation and demolition sectors.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify and develop strategies to capture new business with major Oil & Gas clients and includes business development, strategic initiatives, and sales development.   
Develop and execute business strategies and initiatives to expand environmental remediation and demolition services to new clients, targeting Oil & Gas clients. 
Perform the research and development of capture and account plans.
Identify market competitors with intelligence gathering and provide thorough and comprehensive strengths/weaknesses analyses.
Achieve goals identified for business development by working in coordination with Operations to successfully develop and win work and Contracts regarding the negotiation of terms and conditions.  
Perform data entry into CRM database for lead tracking and opportunity information.
Formulate and present proactive, strategic approaches to the proposal development process which leverage the company''s capabilities and value proposition.
Develop enterprise-wide agreements with key strategic clients to develop new relationships and create strategic alliances.
Achieve sales objectives on an annual basis.
Build, grow and maintain an active list of large and/or strategic new prospects that will ensure the continuous growth of clients.
Establish and develop strategic long-term relationships with current clients, new clients and prospective teaming partners.
Remain abreast of overall business trends, threats, and opportunities within the Oil & Gas Sector.
Lead proposal development and contract negotiation to win targeted pursuits.
Identify market competitors with intelligence gathering and provide thorough and comprehensive strengths/weaknesses analyses.


Required Skills:  
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 15 years direct sales experience in the environmental, industrial, and/or construction/engineering market is required with significant corporate account development success. 
Proven experience in establishing and building relationships within all levels of client management.
Extensive knowledge and experience in the sales capture process.
Demonstrated exceptional communication, presentation, follow-up, negotiation, and closing skills.
Solid organizational skills with the proven ability to manage multiple priorities at a time.  
Strong analytical skills (technical aptitude) with a focus on attention to detail.
Ability to take initiative and work independently.  
Proven track record of business development experience with the ability to attract new business and transition clients over to the Company. 
Well-developed interpersonal skills with experience working effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment to identify and capture new business.
Proficiency in networking, prospecting and building relationships.
Technical experience and expertise with large-scale environmental remediation projects a plus.
Ability to develop and implement strategic plans to encourage business growth with a sound understanding of risk management procedures and contracting requirements.
Experience leading major proposal efforts. 
Strong written and oral communication skills, including excellent presentation skills.
Must have visionary skills to ascertain market direction and strategic skills to determine methods of market penetration.
Business savvy with proven skills to listen to client needs and identify viable, revenue producing, future projects.  
Skilled at cultivating and maintaining industry contacts and other new business resources.
B.S. Degree in related discipline (Business, Engineering, Technical, etc.). A combination of education, skills and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
