We are seeking a Licensing Manager that will be responsible for negotiating deal terms of new license agreements, managing existing license agreements, and ensuring all license agreements are developed and executed in accordance with Bradford and industry standards.  As a member of the Licensing Team, which oversees all of the Company''s license agreements, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining key relationships with internal departments (Product Development, Marketing, Accounting, Legal, etc.) and external partners including artists, licensors, record labels and music publishers. 

The ideal candidate for this position will have demonstrated experience in managing projects through to completion, identifying solutions to challenges and actively and independently learning on the job.  This person should also have a passion for organization, the will to learn new skills and take on new opportunities and be part of a small team that prides itself on its ability to get the job done well, with a sense of humor.


 




Required Skills:  

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

55%    - Negotiating deals, interpreting contacts, writing and editing contracts.

 

35%    - Assuring compliance with the licensing contracts.

 

10%    - Administrative tasks in support of team; research projects; accounting data input, and other duties as assigned.

 


Minimum Qualifications:

Education, Licensing, Certification, and Experience

  • Bachelor''s degree from an accredited institution in business administration, marketing, or other applicable area.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the licensing industry, insurance, corporate legal department, or law office practicing intellectual property helpful.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Education, Licensing, Certification, and Experience

  • JD, MBA or equivalent professional degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

  • 4-8 years of experience in licensing, brand management, legal or business management is preferred.

  • This position requires diverse and progressively responsible experience in licensing management, including the negotiation, preparation, review and execution of a wide range of license agreements.

  • Ability to negotiate, draft, review, comprehend, edit, execute and manage all aspects of a license agreement

  • Work effectively in a fast paced, team environment

  • Demonstrated decision making and problem solving skills

  • Proven ability to maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external partners

  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
