POSITION TITLE: Operations and Logistics Associate

LOCATION: Houston, TX 

Operations and Logistics Associate is dedicated to meeting the equipment rental and supply/merchandise needs of contractor companies, industrial and commercial companies, and homeowners.



  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of receiving process, discrepancies and inventory
  • Proactively communicate with internal departments to meet customer request dates
  • Must be self-motivated; a problem solver
  • Excellent communication skills are essential to interact with many different people at all levels; expert verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use various essential computer applications
  • Must possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Must maintain a professional and courteous attitude towards co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
  • Must have ability to work effectively in a high pressure, multi-tasking environment, and meet or exceed deliverables
  • Perform cost and pricing analysis
  • Negotiate business agreements
  • Use electronic purchasing software, modern office equipment and software
  • Perform basic math; use and calculate measuring units
  • Compile data for purposes of bidding and awarding contracts
  • Control inventory levels of rental equipment inventory to ensure availability for customers
  • Manage communications among Sales Representatives, a loyal customer base, and drivers, in order to provide timely equipment delivery
  • Maintain a fleet of rental equipment and ensure it is in rental-ready condition


Required Skills:  


  • A Bachelor''s Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred but not required
  • A minimum of 2 - 7 years'' of experience in equipment rentals is a plus
  • Must possess a positive attitude
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with procurement software is preferred
  • Experience using material management systems is a plus
  • Must have the ability to compile comprehensive pricing estimates from multiple suppliers as requested by project managers
